Honorary Consul of Seychelles to Indonesia and AITs new campus in Indonesia

Honorary Consul of Seychelles to Indonesia will take lead to establish Asian Institute Technology (AIT) Satellite Campus in Indonesia, under the new AIT Charter. Seychelles is one among the founder of the new AIT charter and is the first African country to adopt the new AIT. The signing of the new charter of AIT in Bangkok on August 25, 2010 marks a new era of AIT. The Honorary Consul of seychelles to Indonesia, Nico Barito is also the Institute Level Advisory Board of AIT in Thailand and Steering Committee of AIT - Center Indonesia, has recently been appointed as Director of AIT Indonesia with main goals to embark with new AIT-Indonesia campus.
Mr.Barito is actively involved in the academic collaboration between Asia & Africa. He expressed that the adaptation of Asian technology for development of Africa is significant. More students from Africa intend to study in Indonesia. They are bright scholars and they learn hard to prepare themselves for infrastructure and technology development in their respective countries.
The AIT Indonesia will develop a close collaboration with Seychelles, who is one of the founding-member under the new AIT charter. Nico will link AIT Indonesia with University of Seychelles and focus on education to foster career values. This partnership will introduce extension program of AIT at The University of Seychelles to give chance for the students from Seychelles to interact closely with Asian. The presence of AIT at Seychelles may invite more students from Africa to study there.
