Trade

The Seychelles International Trade Zone 'SITZ provides facilities that make Seychelles an ideal location for transshipment, redistribution, processing or manufacturing for exports.

Given the small population, limited resources and topographical constraints, Seychelles continues to import over 90% of its total primary and secondary production inputs and consumer product.

Seychelles is a member of regional and international groupings such as The Indian Ocean Commission (IOC), The Common Market of Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), The African Caribbean Pacific (ACP) Countries, The Africa Growth & Opportunity Act (AGOA) and The Southern African Development Community (SADC) which presents the country preferential tariffs treatment of exports to the European Union, Eastern and Southern Africa and USA.
